tiny tv cramped bathroom
the room was small the tv was tiny and difficult to see from the bed the shower temperature fluctuated wildly making it hard to get a consistent temperature the breakfast service felt rushed and impersonal they didn't seem to have time to chat or answer questions like other places i've stayed i really expect more for the price. the bathroom was cramped and outdated no space at all for storing toiletries that was so frustrating

decent stay, but some issues impacted sleep

hard mattress sore back
the breakfast and hosts were lovely, but the mattress in the matterdale room was far too firm. it really detracted from the experience. i woke up with a sore back each morning. i probably would not return because of this issue with the mattress.
