late night music missing mirror
the staff was fantastic and very friendly. they really do make a difference.
The noise was a problem. I could hear music late into the night. breakfast i ordered never arrived. there was also no shaving mirror in the bathroom, a minor but noticeable oversight.

slow check-in overcooked steak
the location was great, it met my basic expectations.
check-in was slow. the bar staff ignored me initially. i ordered a steak, but it was overcooked and chewy, this ruined the dining experience. no one checked to see if my meal was satisfactory, this made things worse.

The location offered ample free parking, a definite plus. the bathroom had a spacious layout and the shower pressure was good. breakfast was fine. The service was prompt and the food was good.
i noticed a slight smell near the side entrance, similar to a public toilet. it wasn't overpowering, but it was noticeable on occasion.

The inn provided hearty meals , especially at dinner, with very good service even during busy hours. breakfast was good with prompt service. The sausages were AMAZING!!! and the bacon was delicious.

the bar was cozy, with two log burners creating a warm atmosphere. the inn's dog-friendly policy was very cute. the hotel's situation in the village allowed for walks directly from the premises.

overcooked steak lumpy sauce
the room was super clean and the beds seemed comfy enough.
the steaks we ordered were overcooked and dry and the peppercorn sauce was lumpy. nobody bothered to check if our food was ok, so i had to find a waitress myself. it seemed like the bar was more important than the accommodation.
