Really good stay!

The Arts and Crafts features were beautiful. I especially liked the murals throughout the hotel. The furnishings created a relaxed environment. I received a free upgrade to a superb room! The breakfast was delicious, and i really enjoyed the comfortable lounge.

The staff was very friendly. They gave a warm welcome and personal touch. Gina, Anthony and the rest of the team. I seemed like a valued guest. Jack Waring led the team WELL.

The food was good. I'll give them that.
the room, a 'cosy king room' was anything but. it was tiny and the heating didn't work. i complained, but nothing happened. the staff seemed indifferent, or maybe just tired of hearing the same complaints all day.

the hotel included lovely gardens with beautiful views of the lake. the breakfast offered a good way to start the day. the staff were friendly and were very polite.
the car park was full. i ended up in the overflow parking area and i had to drag our cases up a steep slope. the bathroom was shabby and had a rusty radiator.

excellent rooms and service

comfortable bedright temperaturelovely shower
the bed was really comfortable. the room temperature was just right, so i slept very well. i liked the lovely hot shower and tea making facilities. the hotel is in a beautiful setting close to the marina.
the room was far too hot. only one window opened, and i only realised halfway through the night that it had a 20 tog duvet.

staff took a genuine interest in all guests. they took the time to. the manager and staff were all excellent. they couldn't do enough for the guests.
