The hotel provided ample parking, which i found very convenient. the rooms were clean. They were also very well presented. i particularly enjoyed that the overall decor was country and rustic. the food at the restaurant, especially the sirloin on the bone . the waiting staff were polite. i found them attentive during my meal.
the only slight issue i noticed was that some of the paintwork could use a little tidying.

a calm experience

The cooked breakfast was really good. I had scrambled egg with smoked salmon. the home-made shortbread was tasty. the hand-made soap was a lovely extra. we enjoyed the open fire in the bar.
the bedroom windows were dirty with mould around them. the room was quite small. there was only one chair, and its springs were totally gone.
