adequate stay

fine views helpful staff clean room burnt toast basic breakfast confusing hours
the location offers fine views of the surrounding area. the staff demonstrated politeness and were nice (i found them helpful). i found the room to be cute, clean and soft.
i encountered burnt toast for two mornings. breakfast felt very basic. the room booklet states one set of reception hours. the sign downstairs indicated something else.

reasonable stay

spacious room well presented room excellent quality appalling contact automatic cancellation light fitting
I found the room spacious. It was well presented and the quality was excellent. The view was amazing with a beautiful outlook to admire.
I found telephone contact appalling. I tried phoning several times with no response. The phone automatically cancelled the call after a short while. Cobwebs were apparent in the light fittings above reception desk.

mixed feelings about my stay

hot water problem slow service
the location is certainly quiet. it met my basic needs.
The hot water situation was unacceptable. I barely had warm water for a bath, and that is quite annoying. the service one evening seemed understaffed. I waited too long for my starter. i expect consistent service at a hotel of this supposed caliber.

hot water slow service
the food was delicious and prepared to a high standard (i especially enjoyed the breakfast).
I was disappointed by a lack of hot water in the bathroom. It was barely lukewarm when i wanted to take a bath. i contacted reception, but they only suggested i wait an hour, which didn't really solve the immediate problem. also, the service seemed a bit slow one evening. It took a long time for the starters to arrive.

odd seating lack of ambience
The room was super clean, I will say THAT. the evening meal was a let down. There was no ambience in the dining area. The seating is odd, and we sat at right angles to each other. It reminded me of we were in a Harvester. I wanted a romantic evening.

burnt toast basic breakfast
The staff was friendly, but not exactly cute. I suppose they just ticked the basic box of professionalism. The food was fine. It was nothing really good, especially considering the price. I got burnt toast two mornings in a row and breakfast was very basic.
