my room was really small. the bathroom seemed dull and dated too. i wouldn't classify it as a standard double.

the room was very clean, it featured a spacious en-suite. hot water was available from a large shower. the staff gave helpful advice about a lovely walk. i mingled with the lambs and chatted with the cows.
on entering our room, it looked like it hadn't been hoovered properly. i felt it was a minor point, so i didn't feel the need to address it with reception.

Average stay with notable issues

acceptable locationinsufficient vacuumingabsence of heating
The location provided an acceptable base for exploring the surrounding area.
I found the cleanliness lacking in certain areas. There were visible cobwebs and dead insects in corners, indicating inadequate vacuuming. staff did not replenish the tea tray (I had to request refills). The absence of central heating further detracted from the stay. Electric heaters felt insufficient after hiking in the rain.
