THE staff were always smiling and ready to help. The open fire in the lounge was cute after long walks, really allowing a chance to relax. The room had a nice shower. It was great after the pool. And sauna and steam room sessions. The staff worked hard to meet our needs.

The pool area includes a jacuzzi, a sauna, and a steam room. THESE facilities were open until 8 pm. Books are available in alcoves throughout the building, providing ample space FOR relaxation.

The reception staff were very helpful. They even granted a slight delay to our check out. The staff responded quickly to prepare an extra bed we required in the room. Staff were generally very courteous with big smiles.

I found the staff very helpful . Breakfast included many continental options and hot food. The gardens were well kept and I saw wildlife there. A hare was even sauntering around the car park. The pool facilities were clean. I particularly enjoyed the hot tub, sauna and steam room. They seemed top quality.

The bike racks outside do not seem secure. I feel secure bike storage would be an improvement. The hotel website advertises bike storage. This usually means a locked storage room.

The food quality disappointed me. the batter on the fish was soggy, suggesting it was reheated. breakfast was even more substandard. it feels like the hotel is cutting corners now.

The swimming POOL was lovely for relaxation after my travels. The view from my room was fine. I could see the garden and a nearby meadow.

The hotel DECOR appears VERY tired. The furniture seemed old and marked. Cleaners didn't do much each day. I ended up making my bed.
