The breakfast was very good, offering a wide selection. The staff were also lovely. Rooms were clean.
The spa had a aromatherapy suite. This room was cold, and there was no aroma. The sauna was too hot, and it was closed down after complaints. Underwater jets were not maintained well in the hot tub, and almost non functional, a real letdown.

the location is superb. the staff was friendly and helpful. i had free access to the spa and the breakfast was delicious. our room had complimentary gin and tonic.

Last sunday was fantastic. the afternoon tea included two plates, one for savories and one for sweets. a box of teas allowed us to choose our flavor, and a timer ensured optimal taste, something i really appreciate. the view from our conservatory table was lovely. It overlooked the gardens and spa, very relaxing.
during our stay, i observed that the two-seater sofa in our separate seating area was very old and collapsed. it urgently needs replacement. the hotel is not aware of that. this issue impacted the overall comfort of our room.

We booked a family lodge and it included a very large living room. The kitchen was well equipped with everything. Comfortable beds were provided. There was also a coffee machine with a good supply of pods.
i was disappointed that when we got to the spa, the people from the previous slot had not left, and also the jacuzzi wasn't working.

the food was not excellent. the chicken looked grey and hardly the best cut and if i wanted potatoes with my meal, i had to pay extra. it was all rather underwhelming.
