the check-in was easy and quick. the room was clean enough for a one night stay. the price was really reasonable, i thought. handy having costa and mcdonald's next door. there's free parking!!!
The heating system was stuck, so i couldn't switch it off. the window was very small. It wasn't letting in enough fresh air. therefore, the room was uncomfortably hot. the gentleman at reception tried to help, but the conclusion was to just live with it.

super stopover with superb staff!
cute receptionistfantastic locationnoisy doors
the receptionist anita was cute and helpful! she really went the extra mile for us and even answered all my questions with a smile. the location is fantastic, it gives easy access to great parts of the lake district (so much to explore!).
The corridor doors were quite noisy. They banged frequently, unsettling, especially at night. it did cause some disruptions during the night.

I appreciate that wh smith, costa, and mcdonald's are conveniently located right next door. It is so easy to grab a quick bite or a coffee. the costa opens at 8 am (check for discount vouchers at the reception to save some money!).

the receptionist, leila, was very friendly and helpful. she was polite and professional. she went out of her way to help me plan my onward journey.
the bathroom had a bad smell, like urine or feces. the bath was dirty. a green liquid came from the tap, not while running, but from the seal.
