Really good Amenities and Location
immaculate condition super clean space relaxed stay
I enjoyed the site's immaculate condition, close walking distance to amenities. Dolly Wagon and Raven Cottage were of top quality. Each offered spotlessly clean spaces with views over Ullswater. The on-site shop and bar at the mansion.
The pods was like caravan quality. Their price was considerably high compared to apartments. I noted an expectation to strip all beds after paying a significant amount. It seemed unusual. I think that a better pricing structure would enhance the overall experience.

The on-site bar offered a wide selection of beverages, including local ales and international wines. I was impressed. There was ample seating available both indoors and outdoors, so guests can enjoy drinks in various settings. The service was consistently quick and efficient, a plus.

The grounds were well maintained, showcasing vibrant floral displays and manicured lawns. The short walk to local shops and restaurants added convenience. This allowed exploring nearby attractions with ease. I observed several well-marked walking trails surrounding the hotel.

The location is great. The surroundings were beautiful. The accomodation include everything we needed. It was close to Pooley bridge and Ullswater steamer.
I found myself in a shady corner. The sun never reach around! The showers were roomy but drab and cold. I detest push button that give 10 second blasts of lukewarm water.

on-site shower on-site toilet dog wash excessive noise late evening partial refund
the pod had everything i needed for my stay. a shower and toilet inside the pods were a bonus. the dog wash on site was a great touch. the mansion house offered a nice place for a drink.
i booked three nights in a glamping pod. it was described as somewhere to relax. unfortunately, it was not peaceful at all. there was excessive noise late into the evening.

comfortable bed excellent shower distant play area uphill walk
I enjoyed the Lady Wakefield 3 Bedroom Cottage Lake View No Pets Allowed. The cottage included a comfortable bed and a newly decorated bathroom with a good shower. The location is near to local attractions.
The play park were more suitable for younger children. It are also located a bit far from the tourer area. It required a walk up hill for several minutes, inconvenient.

Excellent Accommodation
beautiful garden convenient location great walk
The cottage included a wonderful garden near the river. I appreciated that the location was close to many useful amenities. I found the cottage clean and homely, it offered so many great walks and sites nearby. I especially enjoyed visiting Ullswater Steamers, Rheged, and Aira Force.
The play park was not suitable for my children. The park was a bit young for them and it meant a walk uphill to get there. This made it not very practical for an impromptu play.

great view power shower
the arthur's pike room had a great view , it was gorgeous. the plentiful hot water made for a good power shower.
the play park was more suited for younger kids , not really ideal for older children.
