My suite was quite cold. I asked the staff to turn on the heating, and it worked for an hour before it went off again. It remained off at 6 a.m., so I took a bath. The water was only lukewarm, and I was like ice afterwards.

the hotel owner and staff gave a very warm welcome. i had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, both first class. i enjoyed the drawing room with its open fire and honesty bar, and also talking with other guests.

the king room garden view was large with super comfy beds. the room also had really good views of the surrounding gardens. i found the room clean and very tidy.

the hotel offers beautiful walks around the hotel itself. i took a walk beside the river eden. i saw daffodils and green fields, a beautiful taste of the english countryside.

the menus for both dinner and breakfast were excellent. the cooking was great!!! the hotel accommodated my dietary needs with ease. i felt genuinely looked after during my meals.
