i stayed here after walking the hadrian's wall path. the beds felt so comfy, and the room was super clean! the hosts were the friendliest. breakfast tasted awesome!
i wish the fridge was bigger. it's so small it barely holds a bottle!

the beautiful king room was spacious and had lots of light. it included a big tv with plenty of channels. the bathroom looked modern and had fluffy towels too.

Melanie greeted me at the door with a huge smile and really went through everything. free parking was just down the side road. I did not need to pay. it was easy to check in and out online.

The hotel is close to everything and centrally located. i walked to riverside walks and parks in just over five minutes. there were lots of cafes and bars in the other direction too. It was perfect!

the breakfast room had period details and was elegant. they served breakfast elegantly in a lovely dining room. the guesthouse took a hands off approach, letting me look after myself. they provided a lovely cooked breakfast to start the day.

Acceptable Stay with Heating Problems

The room was lovely and had everything I needed. It included a nice little en suite bathroom and a fridge.
The heating seemed to be centrally controlled. The radiator turned off during the night, and I woke up cold. This happened more than once and made sleeping difficult. I found it quite frustrating.

The location is very convenient for walking to local attractions. My room had excellent washing facilities and attention to detail. I received a car pass for parking, so it was easy to visit nearby shops and restaurants.
