the staff was lovely! breakfast was really great, i enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. the beer was good quality! it had a very nice community feel, i even came last in the pub quiz.
the carpets looked a bit old!

the staff was very friendly. the breakfast was great, i loved the quiet atmosphere. the location is really convenient, close to the train station. the beer garden at the rear was nice.

the hotel benefits from its close proximity to the train station, a major convenience for travellers. it is a short walk, maybe 10-15 minutes, to the coast to coast zero point and the town shops are easily accessible too.

I noticed the pleasant beer garden at the rear of the building. It seemed very popular. the breakfast area was quiet, and i did appreciate that the food was plentiful. the atmosphere was very cute!

the staff were friendly and polite. the breakfast had plenty of choice. i needed to start the day well, and it worked. the room was clean, and basic facilities were provided.
the carpets looked old and sticky. the paintwork was poor everywhere. i also noted rusty fittings in the bathroom. the bathroom mirror light was not working.
