superb stay in a charming inn

high standard comfy beds
the staff was cute. molly and mark were particularly helpful with tv and internet issues. the furniture and fittings appear to be of a high standard. i found the complimentary basket of porridge, pastries, and cereals quite sufficient, though a hot breakfast option was absent . the room was super clean, the beds were comfy and it was great value.
The heating wasn't on, difficult to dry clothes after a wet day. limited hanging space for coats caused some inconvenience. Coats had to remain in bags.
Service
9/10
the staff, particularly mark, sue, and molly, offered helpful and friendly service. they promptly addressed any issues with the tv and internet. mark demonstrated versatility by handling information technology, cooking, and even plastering tasks, all calmly.
Facilities
9/10
the inn included a warm woodburner, which i found lovely during meal times after a wet walk. access to the room after hours offered flexibility to visit friends. the family room i booked had a linked room off the main roomwith an extra sense of security.

the staff was very cute! mark, sue, and molly were friendly and helpful. mark was skilled in information technology and cooking. he was also very hospitable and calm. molly was polite, and sue was also helpful.
The food served was poor in quality. Its taste was disappointing. i expected better, even if it wasn't costly. £13 for a shop-bought reheated steak pie with chips was disappointing. the shower in one of the rooms didn't work.
