a quiet retreat

attentive staff nature reserve spacious room
i found the staff really attentive. they looked after us well. there is a nature reserve attached to the inn. our room was quite spacious.
the evening meal in the bar had little flavour.

small plate musty smell
the dinner in the bar left much to be desired. it lacked flavor, and the portion size didn't justify the cost. our room smelled musty, like it needed a good airing out (maybe some open windows would help).

comfortable room excellent breakfast attentive staff
The rooms were lovely and very comfortable. I liked the excellent breakfast that was OFFERED. I saw friendly staff. They were attentive. the location had lovely rural with views and walks.
the evening meal had poor flavor and a small PLATE for the money. I did expect much better.

my room smelled quite musty, i believe. it's obviously an old building. they need to open windows to air the room and get some new furniture perhaps.
