katie was a wonderful host. she accommodated our late check in. she made sure we had everything we needed for our kids to settle right away. the room was very comfortable and clean for a family of 4 + dog.
the room was bitterly cold when i arrived. the host explained the heating was on a timer and would not come back on until 6pm. a plug in heater did not sufficiently heat the room. furthermore, there was no hot water from the tap! also, the bedding had 2 small creamy marks on it. i believe this was residue from sweets.

dog friendly family roomtimer heatingunavailable hot water
the spacious family room was very dog friendly.
The heating operated via a timer, leaving the room uncomfortably cold until 6 pm (this was a significant issue). furthermore, hot water was unavailable from the tap upon arrival. the following morning, the situation remained unchanged. The room was still cold, and there was no hot water.

amazing stay in a unique building

excellent breakfastfriendly hostspacious roomeasy access
i often travel to scotland and i was so happy to find this place. the breakfast was excellent, with a good choice of options. katie is a very friendly host, and nothing is too much trouble for her. i easily moved around the spacious rooms with a walker.
I noticed a small, creamy mark on the bedding. It smelled a bit sugary. i am sure this was accidental and easily fixed.

The building has a lot of character , and it has plenty of room. I enjoyed walking my dogs on the lovely gardens , and there were no restrictions. Katie is a very nice owner , and the cooked breakfasts were out of this world.
