Goodwin House is known for offering great value, especially given its convenient location less than 5 minutes from the town center and Derwentwater. Guests often praise the bright, modern, and exceptionally clean rooms, such as the spacious Derwentwater room, and the varied breakfast menu, which includes options like avocado on sourdough alongside a full English. Some guests in single rooms have found the space a bit confined, but the delicious, locally sourced breakfast and homemade biscuits are consistently appreciated.

electric shower confined space
The breakfast included tasty, locally sourced products. Homemade biscuits were provided in the room, A NICE touch.
I found the electric shower challenging to adjust to a consistent temperature. It fluctuated unpredictably. The single room was small, especially the ensuite. Space felt quite confined. I EXPECTED more room.
