Tarka Halt 1 offers guests a superb location with great views over Otter Lake, conveniently situated near the water sports cabin and only 10 minutes from Cartmel. The spacious lodge includes a lovely open-plan living room and kitchen, two large bedrooms, one ensuite, and modern bathrooms with great showers, as well as a decking area with furniture and a barbecue. While generally well-received, a few guests have noted issues with cleanliness. it's considered a comfortable and well-equipped base for enjoying the southern Lakes, with easy access to amenities and nearby attractions such as Flookbourgh, complete with pubs, a bakery, and a chippy.
