The breakfast was very tasty and provided plenty to start the day. Evening meals were quite large and filling. Staff were very understanding when we misplaced our room key. They flagged down the early bus for us, it only ran every two hours.
I did not see much interaction with customers other than taking orders. The service did not come with a smile.

lovely stay amidst the fells

the staff were helpful with our bikes and bus info. dinner was good. the bedroom had a hot shower. the bathroom was pleasant after a long day walking.
the pub didn't have a takeaway option for campers and didn't seem to encourage business from them.

the main seating area had a beautiful view. it was in between ambleside and ullswater. this made getting to the main areas of interest easy. we enjoyed its convenience.

the room was compact. it had an en-suite shower room in the space of a wardrobe. everything we needed was at hand once at the b&b. it was clean and functional.

the staff ensured we had what we needed. breakfasts were generous and tasty. it offered a packed lunch for the next day. their local knowledge on footpaths was helpful.

superb locationcooked breakfast
the location was superb for exploring the area. the cooked breakfast provided a great start each day, setting me up well for demanding walks. the food was AMAZING!!!
