limited menu cold atmosphere
I found a couple of issues . The food menu was limited, and I reminded me of I had to take it or leave it (a bit disappointing). The hotel fires weren't lit, so the atmosphere felt cold and not very cute. It would have been nice to have a cozier environment.

average stay, some disappointments

limited food cold room
the king room was spacious. it had tea and coffee making facilities.
The reception staff said there was no hot food available until evening. this was disappointing since they had been closed for two weeks. The excuse was they weren't ready, really? the room felt very cold. I had to ask reception to turn on the heating twice.

Romantic Getaway, A True Gem

generous offerings clean rooms restful library staff friendliness
My partner and I enjoyed the generous complimentary offerings in our room including beer and gin. The hotel features meticulously clean rooms and exteriors with a relaxing environment. I loved the restful library filled with books allowing for quiet moments. The staff's friendliness ensured a particularly special stay.
I noticed the coffee selection in the room included only decaffeinated options which was a slight disappointment as I prefer a regular coffee in the morning.
