Authentic Inn Experience

calming atmospherefriendly staffdelicious pieconvenient location
I noticed the inn has a calming atmosphere, far from city noise. Friendly staff served a gorgeous breakfast. I found the steak and cheese pie delicious. The location makes walks to a lovely church and nature easy.
I found very slight issue with the bed. It was firmer than I prefer.

The staff were cute! the food was unexpectedly great. I had three breakfasts that were consistently well cooked.
The bartender seemed eager to close early. At 8.30 pm, he told us we barely had time for drinks before closing at 9.30 pm. he started tidying around us, and announced to his colleague they would be out by 9.30 pm. Other patrons were also informed of the early closing time. the earplugs provided were not individually wrapped, made them seem a bit unhygienic.

Authentic Inn Experience

perfect locationgarden centreeasy accessunhygienic earplugs
The location was perfect for exploring seaside towns. Dallam park is very close. Beetham Garden Centre across the road proved a worthwhile visit. I found it easy to drive into Kendal, then through to Windermere and Bowness.
I found that the church next door loudly marks every 15 minutes. This happened throughout the night. The provided earplugs were not individually wrapped, SO they was a little unhygienic.
Rooms
9/10
My room was clean and tidy. I appreciated the good sized ensuite. The shower also provided ample space.
Facilities
8/10
The inn features architectural details typical of a 17th-century house. It overlooks a dramatic church. The church clock chimes every quarter hour.
Dining
10/10
Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, which I appreciated. Staff members were very friendly and helpful. Nothing seemed too difficult for them. I always felt taken care of.
