smashing stay!
friendly staff delicious food perfect location
i loved the warm welcome! the staff was good and quickly moved us to a quieter table away from the birthday celebrations. we devoured every crumb of our starters, mains, and puddings, such great food! this hotel is dog friendly. it's in a great location for climbing nearby mountains.
the mattress in my room was a bit tired, springs a little gone.

the hotel offers easy access to the a66 and surrounding countryside, very helpful if exploring by car. it is also conveniently located near walking trails and mountains like mickle fell for outdoor enthusiasts. car parks are approximately 20 minutes away.

the rooms are looked super fresh and well-equipped, a nice space to unwind. my room was big enough for me and my dog, so it's definitely suitable for pet owners. the refurbishment has resulted in rooms that are nicely decorated.

the restaurant is excellent and offers a range of home-cooked food and hand-pulled beer. the hotel is nicely decorated and very well kept, giving a sense of quality. there's a lovely roaring fire in the pub, so it is cozy after a long day.

the staff provides a very friendly welcome and efficient service, which i appreciated. they were accommodating with check-in times, convenient. they were helpful, especially when moving our table to a quieter area.

poor mattress thin duvet
the STAFF were so friendly and helpful, i really appreciated that.
I wasn't happy with the duvet, it felt thin. the mattress was really poor. I could feel the springs. the linens weren't that clean.
