The location was super convenient. It was great for exploring helvellyn, and the breakfast was tasty. the host was fantastic, and the pub downstairs had a lively atmosphere. matthew provided excellent service ensuring we were well looked after after a long day.

The bedroom was a little tiny. i had some difficulty opening my suitcase fully. I had to rearrange the furniture slightly.

i found the food perfectly cooked and quite reasonable in price, with a good selection available. the breakfast included tasty food options. the pub seemed to be a popular dining spot, even for those not staying at the hotel.
