A PEACEFUL Getaway

the building's history is apparent and admirable. Gardens do feature some overgrown areas. After a discussion with the owners, I am looking forward to my next visit. Breakfast provided an EXCELLENT start to each day.
i noticed one minor thing, a full-length mirror in the room would improve the experience SLIGHTLY.

The room was clean and recently updated. The bathroom was well kept. The shower had unexpectedly powerful water pressure. I found this particularly excellent considering the age of the structure, and it was an excellent feature.

The location is idyllic. there are views of the fells from the garden. breakfast had many choices. the hosts were friendly. the rooms are very clean and include a comfortable bed. a short walk takes you to the centre. buses are nearby for exploring. i did not need my car . Everything was accessible!

the guesthouse has a peaceful atmosphere. a wet room allows guests to dry coats and boots. the garden has amazing views and seating, even when fully booked. i found the parking convenient.

the location meant easy access to the mountains. a short walk leads to great restaurants for lunch and dinner. it is close enough to town, set in its own rural idyll. the house has a super peaceful setting.

The shower had great pressure, which i was charmed by. the breakfast had plenty of choices. the location was close to ambleside. I could easily walk there for dinner.

walking trailssplendid breakfastmissing lighting
access to walking trails was convenient. stepping stones and gardens allowed for effortless exploration of the lakes district. the breakfast was splendid and gave us a good start to our day.
lighting at night was nonexistent if walking back to the hotel, a taxi was needed. the darkness made walking back unsafe, so plan accordingly.

the guest house has a wet room downstairs. this room was perfect for storing wet clothes after a rainy day and kept our room free of damp smells.

Breakfast included freshly prepared food with a good range of options! this set us up for the day and was very tasty. The breakfast room staff were friendly.

the hosts and staff are very friendly and accommodating. we were left to our own devices unless we needed something and this was a perfect retreat.

very good breakfastlovely gardenconvenient bus
Breakfast was first class! I enjoyed sitting in the garden during the evening. The bus stop is only five minutes away! It goes to Keswick, Kendal, Bowness on Windermere, and the pier, which let us park the car for our whole stay.
The decor is a little tired in the public areas! It was not a big deal for me!
