I found the breakfasts EXCELLENT, particularly the wide selection available each morning. Virginia emailed a form to select options in advance, very efficient. I appreciated having so many vegan options. My partner loved the homemade granola.
The bins weren't emptied daily. I think this is very minor.

The guest lounge has a fridge. It also offers fresh milk for hot drinks and an honesty bar. Books, games, and maps are available who want to borrow them for outdoor activities.

The hotel is situated near the Sailing Club. It is located on the opposite side of the road. Keswick is a short drive away, taking about ten minutes by car. The views of the lake are lovely.

I appreciated the family atmosphere. It felt really cute. Breakfast was AMAZING!!! I liked the option to select exactly what I wanted on the breakfast form. The location was ideal for exploring the Lake District. The hosts were kind and helpful.
The absence of daily bin emptying was a minor inconvenience .

I found the hosts to be lovely. the room and view were good, and the bed proved comfortable. the hosts gave good suggestions for places to visit or dine around the area. They had great knowledge of what to do and see.
having to. a biscuit or two in the room. some hot chocolate, would have been good. a pot of coffee would be better than a cup brought after the fruit juice.

The room included a full en-suite bathroom, a dressing table, wardrobe, and side tables. the room was a great size for a couple with a smaller, medium-sized dog. It was clean and well kept.

breakfast was a definite highlight, with a fresh menu catering to a variety of diets. i found the food to be excellent and all locally sourced. i enjoyed the generous proportions served each morning.

virginia and ben were wonderful hosts, and they ensured that their guests were well looked after. they also recommended some excellent places for dinner and were more than happy to help with bookings. they were a wealth of knowledge of the region.
