actually surprised with comfort

friendly staff comfy room
staff was super friendly. they were keen to please. the room felt comfy and it was super clean too.
i couldn't find a tv in the room. extractor air vent noise was on all night. it felt quiet like a library in the bar.

The room was super clean. dinner was excellent with fresh, contemporary bistro cuisine. It was beautifully prepared. breakfast was cooked to order with good, solid food, also good ingredients.
there was a nail sticking out of the door architrave inside the bathroom.

The breakfast was great. The staff were lovely. the location was also convenient. i found bingo night and even won a prize!
There was no heating. I was quite cold. also, there was no tv in the room though, that wasn't so bad! there was a very noisy extractor fan all night too.

Really good Meals and Warm Welcome

I dined at the restaurant. I booked a table in advance and arrived early after a day in Carlisle. I needed a good meal, especially not having to prepare it myself. I found the restaurant busy and lively. I was welcomed and promptly seated at my reserved table. The drinks and food orders were taken quickly. The food was fabulous, the portions generous, and the presentation beautiful.
The barman was rude. I booked for Sunday lunch and the place was very busy. A young girl showed us to the table and took our order. Half our drinks order arrived and the starter came without cutlery.

friendly staff clean room delicious breakfast
the staff was genuinely friendly and always ready to assist with a smile. the room was clean with lovely decor. i found breakfast delicious with fresh ingredients. it all.
the water pressure in the shower was inconsistent and could be improved, a little inconvenient.

some issues

overpriced food difficult check-in
The food in the evening was not good. It also felt overpriced. our room was a bit small, and getting to the bathroom was difficult because i had to squeeze past the bed. the check-in process was diabolical, a HUGE mess!!!
