Really good Meals and Warm Welcome

I dined at the restaurant. I booked a table in advance and arrived early after a day in Carlisle. I needed a good meal, especially not having to prepare it myself. I found the restaurant busy and lively. I was welcomed and promptly seated at my reserved table. The drinks and food orders were taken quickly. The food was fabulous, the portions generous, and the presentation beautiful.
The barman was rude. I booked for Sunday lunch and the place was very busy. A young girl showed us to the table and took our order. Half our drinks order arrived and the starter came without cutlery.

The hotel is located in a typical Cumbrian village. It is perfect for exploring the surrounding countryside.. You can enjoy morning walks with picturesque views.

The room was super clean and comfortable. It was also beautifully appointed. I found all the necessary amenities for a relaxing stay. I must say, I liked how quiet the room was.

the staff was genuinely friendly and always ready to assist with a smile. the room was clean with lovely decor. i found breakfast delicious with fresh ingredients. it all.
the water pressure in the shower was inconsistent and could be improved, a little inconvenient.

overpriced fooddifficult check-in
The food in the evening was not good. It also felt overpriced. our room was a bit small, and getting to the bathroom was difficult because i had to squeeze past the bed. the check-in process was diabolical, a HUGE mess!!!
