Review summary
Based on recent reviews

The Old Mill Inn is often praised for its spacious and modern rooms, some even noting the extra large comfy beds. Many guests appreciate the option of enjoying a meal in the bar/dining area, with the "pie and pint" specials proving particularly popular alongside locally brewed real ales. While the restaurant ambience may not appeal to everyone, the Inn's location makes it a great base for exploring the Lake District by car. The self check-in system is also appreciated.

poor soundproofingdistracting music
The restaurant lacked ambience. the music selection did not enhance the dining experience. It was quite distracting. the room i stayed in needed better soundproofing! i could hear noises from adjacent rooms and the hallway. this made it difficult to relax fully, especially in the evenings.
