The staff WAS helpful, they really were pretty good. the breakfast each morning WAS delicious and well-prepared. the pub definitely has a lot of unique character. I loved that.
the pub WASN't open every day for evening meals, only on weekends.

I enjoyed the warm welcome I received upon my late arrival. My super-clean room had wonderful beddings, and the breakfast was fabulous. The entire place felt very hospitable.
The room facilities were basic, as there was no hairdryer or tea and coffee in the room. The room could use some updating to feel more current. The bathroom was functional, but a little small.

i appreciated the warm welcome even though the pub was closed. the offer of food and drinks was very thoughtful. our family suite had two rooms, a good size. the beds were comfortable, and there were complimentary water bottles available.
the room facilities felt a little basic. there was no hairdryer in the room. tea and coffee making provisions were also absent.

The landlord collected walkers on the pennine way. This service shows dedication. he was available for us. It was very kind. i saw staff doing everything to help us.

the staff was very helpful. the room was spacious and clean. breakfast was excellent. we also had a vegetarian sunday roast and it was very good. i found the service was excellent and the value was excellent. the location was lovely.
the sink in the bathroom was very small. there was no space to place toiletries.
