a perfect lakeside escape!!!
thoughtful touchesfresh milkcozy atmosphere
They were helpful. our room had such lovely, thoughtful touches. i especially loved the fresh milk in a flask, it was so romantic! the log burners in the pub created a cozy and intimate atmosphere.
the room was a bit warm upon arrival. i opened the windows, and that fixed it.

our cosy double room was impeccably clean and very comfortable. we found nice extras that added a touch of luxury. the fresh milk for tea and border biscuits were so wonderful, a very welcome and appreciated detail.

i had a really good stay. the staff was friendly and nothing was too much trouble. my room was really well furnished, comfortable, and super clean. there were plenty of drinks at the bar too!!!
the service at dinner and breakfast was not good. our waitress had a runny nose, a bit disconcerting. there was a massive wait for mains after the starter, since the waitress had not called out our table to the kitchen. the food was good, but not excellent.

the feature double room provided a super comfy bed. white company bathroom products were a nice touch (i love those!). fresh milk was also in the room, along with proper mugs for tea.
the room was very warm on arrival, even with the radiator off. leaving the windows open worked, but it was a minor inconvenience.

The rooms were gorgeous. They had nice tea and coffee plus fresh milk. The bed was the most comfortable EVER! I enjoyed a lovely meal and a drink on the terrace overlooking the river. It was total bliss. Breakfast was awesome, especially the Cumberland sausage and bacon!

Staff were helpful and friendly (a rare and appreciated combination). The gentleman who checked me in was polite. They also offered great advice on where to go, always attentive and very keen to please.
