limited counter space no storage
The hotel had beautiful decor and the staff provided excellent service.
I was disappointed with the room. The bathroom lacked counter space. It was limited. A tiny ledge next to the sink barely accommodated toiletries, and there were NO shelves or drawers for storage. This made getting ready difficult.

Underwhelming experience

small room high food prices
The staff were efficient and pleasant, which i appreciated.
The room was not what I expected. It felt quite small. the noise from what seemed like kitchen equipment was constant (it was very annoying). The food prices felt inflated for what was offered.

Quirky and Colourful Stay

quirky decor colourful garden attentive service peaceful location
I appreciated the hotel's quirky decor. It felt unique. The gardens were lovely and colourful. A beautiful sight from the lounges. The staff was great. Their service was attentive. I found the location quiet. It was conducive to a peaceful break.
The climb to the top floor suite was a bit long with heavy bags. It might not suit everyone.
Dining
8/10
Breakfast offered a decent selection. I found it okay. The restaurant manager and bartender only smiled when closing. This felt odd. Dinner seemed fine. I did not find it excellent.
Location
9/10
The hotel is set in beautiful gardens. This makes for picturesque scenery. It is located just out of town. A short drive away from attractions. The setting is quiet. Which I appreciated for relaxation.
Facilities
9/10
The hotel had colourful lounge areas. Those looked good and restful. I had a modern bathroom fitted. It included a great walk in shower. There are lots of colours in the lounges. Those overlook the gardens.

the breakfast was good (especially the selection of homemade oats). the hotel's location is convenient, a short walk into town. the staff were friendly and helpful. the building had quirky decor that i enjoyed.
My room had a fire exit that didn't shut properly, letting in cold air. i thought the cost of some food and drinks was expensive. A cocktail was £13.50. a gratuity of £25 had been added to the bill at check out. a donation.
