the welcome pack included biscuits, tea, coffee, and wine.
I did not have a good start. the website indicated check-in was from 16:00, but reception closed at 15:00. i received no communication and had to call to get check-in details. i waited fifteen minutes for a text with information. Another couple and family experienced the same problem.

Excellent Stay at a Well-Equipped Lodge

welcome pack quiet park pleasant surprise
The lodge was very clean. A welcome pack with biscuits, tea, coffee, and wine was a pleasant surprise. The park was quiet. A little playground kept our son happy.
Our driveway was blocked for three days by other guests parking outside. They had multiple cars and shared one hotel, which caused considerable inconvenience.
Location

The location is near a petrol station with a convenient shop. This made it easy to quickly grab essentials. The premises are surrounded by mountains.

Acceptable Location. Disappointing Cleanliness

The location provided easy access to many attractions near Lake Windermere.
I was quite disappointed by the cleanliness. I found cobwebs and dead insects smeared on the walls. The carpet also had an accumulation of white debris.
