the room was spacious, clean, and felt cosy after a day out. the food was spot on, i found the quality great. staff stood out for being genuinely friendly without being over the top, i felt they got it right.
i booked a king room however i was given a double room.

the room had good size and felt well appointed. i found the carpets, decor, and furnishings to be of great quality. the bedding felt super fresh and the towels were fluffy (i love a soft towel). i think the english breakfast i had there was the best i have had in ages, with everything hot and well presented.
i noticed some issues with the shower. the shower drain backed up, and the shower grouting could be cleaner, so i think it was overpriced.

the staff printed off a walking map for me one morning. they recommended the ghost walk, and i thought it was great fun (i really like those little local tips).

the breakfast was amazing. dinner was utterly delicious, so i would say food quality is high. lovely meals were served, and you must book online to ensure a table.

the village is beautiful, and i like that the hotel has a wonderful vibe of its own. it is also nice being away from the pub area (i like a bit of quiet).

the staff was friendly and helpful. the location was superb, a real advantage. the provided breakfast offered a lot of choices, it was really good.
i emailed the hotel to secure a dinner reservation though i never received a reply. it was not possible to eat at the restaurant .

the room had a comfortable bed and was very spacious. it was very clean and well kept with added extras such as a mini fridge and secure safe for valuables. i found the amenities plentiful.
