Excellent Stay in Shap
helpful staff coast path
The staff provided assistance. They prepared breakfast for us on a quiet day. I found this very helpful during my Northern traverse recce on the coast to coast path.
I noticed a draft blowing in from the window surround. There was only one pillow per bed.

helpful staff quiet day
The staff were helpful. They sorted breakfast for us on a quiet day. This hotel served as a stop on the coast to coast recce for the Northern traverse!!!

friendly staff gluten free meals super clean room
The dinner was lovely. There was much choice for gluten free meals. My room was super clean. I found the staff very friendly. The woman who served the breakfast was efficient. My dogs were welcome.
There was only one pillow offered per bed.

My room was large. It had good lighting. I liked I could turn on the radiator to dry wet clothes. The room was bright. The room was very clean.

The main street had a proper pub. The bar was friendly, yet quiet. I got great service from the staff. The building had a top floor room. It had twin beds and a bathroom with a real bath.
