superb location helpful staff clean rooms easy walk
the location IS SUPERB. It is near the bus stop, convenient for exploring the Lake District. The staff seemed HELPFUL. I found ample restaurants near the hotel, and I also appreciated how CLEAN the rooms were. The 7-minute walk to the lake WAS EASY.

staff are very friendly and helpful. the hotel has restaurant. it was easy to find and near lake. the man greeting us was friendly. the hotel itself was beautiful and spotlessly clean. we had lovely room and lovely bar.

the location was great it was less than a minute's walk from the bus stop. the bus stop provides access to several buses throughout the lake district. the staff were excellent and polite.
the bathroom was very small the shower could have been cleaner. no hand soap was available to wash hands. the carpet wasn't great.

the location was superb. the staff were friendly and accommodating (i really appreciated their help). my dog was welcome, and they provided goodies and a water bowl. i found the roast dinner in the restaurant delicious.
my room faced the back, and the yard was not especially attractive.

easy access friendly staff great food unique layout
the location provides easy access to the bus stop for exploring the lake district. the staff proved friendly. we particularly appreciated the great food available . the three-level layout of the hotel felt unique and added to the experience.
I noticed some scuff marks in the room because of the black decor. This was a very minor issue.

mixed feelings about this place

shower mold late music
i wasn't thrilled with our bathroom. there was mold around the shower area, it felt a bit neglected. also, i found the noise from the pub downstairs quite disruptive. loud music went on late into the night. made it hard to relax.
